During 2 days, keeping up the tradition of PORTO FRANKO festival, an Austrian recorder player Eva Leonie Fegers will show up at the most unexpected locations of Ivano-Frankivsk with her original performance QUI. Residents and guests of Ivano-Frankivsk will enjoy the opportunity to listen to her skillful playing inspired by her experimenting with time and space of our artistic air port.
Eva Leonie Fegers is one of the best-known Austrian musicians of new generation. She started learning to play the recorder flute at the age of 5. She continued to take classes on piano, violin, viola and vocal. She graduated Universität Mozarteum (Zalzburg, Austria) and the School of Arts (Leuven, Belgium). During 2013-2017 Eva Leonie studied at University of Music and Performing Arts (Vienna, Austria). She is a winner of numerous top music contests, among them: Moeck Solo Recorder Players Competition (2011) – the First Prize, and the 15th OSAKA International Music Competition (Japan-Austria) – the Third Prize and “Förderpreis”.
Eva Leonie Fegers performs mainly chamber music. She plays in such well-known bands as Basel and Organic Opera which does research on authenticity of performing music of the 16th and 17th centuries, as well as Golden Square Flute Quartet that performs music of the English Renaissance.
In 2017, together with a sound artist Lukas Froschauer and Zuzana Simkovicova, Eva Leonie founded “Factor A” Group that produces multimedia art projects.
